Interview + b-roll package + kit (lights, cameras, audio)

General setup:
CAM A: ZCamS6 on tripod.
CAM B: ZCamS6 on gimbal.

ZCam E2-S6 Specs:
I describe it as an off-brand Red Komodo.

Super35 sensor. 14+ stops DR. Internal ProRes / LT / Proxy. ZLog2.
6K resolution. 4k, 60p. up to 120fps.

Lenses:
These lenses are carefully chosen to provide full coverage and easy to balance on the gimbal because they are similar weights.

Tokina 11 – 16 f2.8
Sigma 18 – 35 f1.8
Canon 24 – 70 f2

Lights:
Nanlite Forza 500 w/ softbox & grid
The most powerful light I have. Used either as a key light, or blast at ceiling or into a corner to bring the overall ambient levels up considerably. Can be diffused a second time for even softer light.

KinoFlo DivaLite LED21 w/ softbox & grid
Beautiful light and very quick to setup. Used as key light on projects which have little time to setup; sometimes as a fill light; other times as an “accent” light to add color to the background. It has full RGB.

FalconEyes 24TRD II
This light is surprisingly powerful and very lightweight. Great for overhead lighting, also suitable as key or fill for gigs where weight is a concern.

Other lights:
These don’t get as much use but are avail if needed.
Aputure 120D w/ softbox & grid
2x Nanlite PavoTube 4′ long
2x Aputure small ones
various small lights

Example setup:
CAM A: ZCam on tripod. Main shot. Feeding into a laptop with HDMI-In, sending that feed to a remote producer. Also happy to use an iPad / Teleprompter to create a “Interrotron” type setup a la Errol Morris.

CAM B: Gimbal. Easy to get b-roll and walk around with interview subject.

Audio: Sennheiser MKH50 into Zoom F6, synced with Tentacle Sync E.
Can also feed audio directly into camera. Whichever is preferred.
Walk-around audio: Sennheiser wireless and on-camera (gimbal) shotgun mic. If there’s lots of walking around, even with more than one subject, I strap a Zoom F6 to my chest with two or three wireless receivers, and record everything in 32bit float.
